Paws & Peace Support Services
Post-Loss Support Pathway
The early days after losing a beloved pet can feel disorienting, heavy, and difficult to move through alone. This guided pathway offers gentle structure through reflective resources, warm email check-ins, aftercare materials, and optional emotional support calls for those who would like additional support.
Paws & Peace provides non-medical, non-clinical emotional support and educational resources. Services are not a substitute for veterinary care, therapy/counseling, crisis services, or emergency support.
What the Post-Loss Support Pathway is
This pathway is a gentle, self-paced support option designed for the early days and weeks after pet loss. It offers structure during a season that can feel emotionally scattered — especially when guilt, heartbreak, replayed memories, and daily life changes all arrive at once.
Rather than asking you to move quickly or “feel better” on a timeline, this pathway offers guided reflections, warm support materials, and room to process your bond with care.
What this pathway can support
- shock, heartbreak, and emotional disorientation after loss
- guilt, replaying decisions, and “what if” spirals
- navigating the first difficult days and weeks with more structure
- processing the bond beyond the final day
- aftercare questions, memorial thoughts, and grief waves that continue to resurface
This is a softer place to begin when grief feels too heavy to organize on your own.
Best for
- pet parents in the early days or weeks after loss
- people carrying guilt, overwhelm, heartbreak, or emotional “spiraling”
- those who want more than social media support, but less than a higher-touch service
- clients who benefit from self-paced reflection with gentle structure
- those who may want the option of added emotional support calls, if needed
