The Paws & Peace Online Grief Program is a self-paced, online support space for people experiencing anticipatory grief (before loss) or grief after the loss of a beloved animal companion. It offers gentle guidance, education, reflection tools, and rituals to help you navigate this chapter with more support and less isolation. It is not therapy and not veterinary or medical care.

This program is designed for:
Pet parents caring for senior, seriously ill, or declining animals
Anyone preparing to say goodbye through euthanasia or natural passing
People grieving a recent or past pet loss
Those feeling guilty, numb, overwhelmed, or “stuck” in their grief
People who feel like others don’t understand because “it was just a pet”
You’re welcome here whether you’re in the thick of daily caregiving, sitting in the in-between, or months after loss trying to make sense of your new normal.

No. The tools and support in this program are for anyone grieving a beloved animal—dogs, cats, horses, small animals, and more. If they were family to you, this space is for you.
-
No. This program is educational and emotionally supportive only. It does not provide mental health diagnosis, treatment, or crisis intervention. It doesn’t replace working with a licensed therapist, counselor, or other mental health professional.
If you are under the care of a therapist, you’re welcome to use this program alongside your therapy and even share the materials with them if you’d like their support integrating it.
-
No. Nothing in this program is medical or veterinary advice. It cannot diagnose, treat, or interpret your pet’s symptoms, and it will never tell you when it’s “time.” All medical questions and euthanasia decisions should be discussed with your veterinarian or veterinary team.
This program is here for your heart, while your veterinary team is there for your pet’s medical needs.
