Welcome to the Post-Loss Support Pathway — a private space created to offer gentle structure during the early days and weeks after the loss of a beloved companion animal.
You are welcome to move slowly, pause often, and return whenever you need. There is no pressure to use everything right away.
Use only what feels supportive today.
How to use this pathway
- Begin with the week that feels most relevant, even if it is not Week 1.
- You do not need to complete every worksheet or reflection.
- Some people begin with grounding and guilt support; others begin with memory and bond reflections.
- You may revisit the same page more than once — that is normal and encouraged.
- Printing is recommended, but digital use is completely okay.
What’s Included
This pathway includes:
- Week 1: Immediate aftermath support
- Week 2: Bond, memory, and meaning reflections
- Week 3: Moving forward gently and aftercare support
- Aftercare materials for the weeks that follow
- Gentle email check-ins during your pathway window
Digital Use Tips
These materials are designed for printing and handwriting. If you prefer digital use, you might try one of these options:
- Open the PDF on your phone or computer and type your reflections in Notes or a document beside it.
- Use a tablet with a PDF markup app to write directly on the page.
- Print only the pages you want — there is no need to print everything at once.
Pacing reminder
You may notice your emotions shift while moving through these materials. It is completely acceptable to:
- Stop halfway through a page
- Skip sections that feel too tender right now
- Take breaks and come back later
- Return days or weeks later
There is no “falling behind.”
This pathway exists to support you — not to create another expectation during a difficult season.
Suggested starting points
If you’d like gentle guidance, many people begin with:
- The First Days After Loss
- Emotional Grounding After Loss
- When Guilt Feels Loud
- What Happened, In My Own Words
Or, if your mind keeps returning to your bond rather than the final day, you might begin with Week 2.
Optional live support
Some clients moving through the pathway find that a short live conversation feels especially supportive.
If additional support would feel helpful, optional phone sessions may be requested during your pathway window by replying to your welcome email.
